Marc de Chazal is a writer and editor living in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. Marc was the managing editor of Today Magazine for fifteen years, during which time he won two consecutive journalism awards. He then moved into PR and corporate communications for two years, where he wrote across various industry platforms, from financial services and property services to the hospitality industry. Marc wrote traditional press releases, marketing collateral and optimised website content for his employer.

During his career as a writer and editor, Marc has handled various freelance projects for NGOs and other clients, including newsletters, book editing, ghostwriting and feature articles. His key skill is the ability to quickly grasp the unique selling point of a client and communicating this in an appropriate style and tone, whether formal or conversational or somewhere in between. He has also taught creative writing and the art of article writing to aspiring writers.

Marc is the father of two daughters, one of whom is fostered, he is an enthusiastic mountain hiker and an avid music lover.
